One part of our hobby I am most interested in is antennas and building them myself.

Check out the various projects I (will) realize(d) and see if you can find something interesting or even useful. Personally I was encouraged by various articels of DK7ZB, DJ9BV, F/G8MBI and K5OE to build antennas myself and found it worthwhile, not only in terms of cost also most of these antennas are commercially not available neither the type of antenna nor designs with comparable datas.

Most of the time I spend with ham radio I do hunting for weak signals inclusive satellites (not too serious)

So I was looking for gain antennas, especially yagis.

Due to limited space at my home qth I emphasized the portabilty of my antennas, at least at VHF/UHF dxing my portable qth is definately the better place to get new grids!
